A day in the lifeMindless rambling of a redhead since 11/5/05.... 7 December Monday morning coffee break It is currently *13 outside, but I am wrapped in my snuggie enjoying coffee with my peppermint mocha creamer and some Dansk butter cookies... life is good lol.  I know I have been quiet again, but truth be told, (again) Im boring. Sad but true... We had a very nice Thanksgiving. All the girls came over which was nice. Its been too long. We had the traditional meal and watched movies. The Saturday after Lenee came back over and we put up the tree. Its so nice having her over. Her current boyfriend lives close so she wanders by quite often. I love it, and Mike is getting used to it and enjoys her company also. Danielle and her friends stopped by yesterday for a visit. It went well. She just got her first raise and is liking her job. Thats good to see. She is still floundering a bit, but hopefully will find her way.  My job is still going ok. They did another round of lay-offs. This time 12 people went, including 4 of my dear friends. Sad day... I am thankful to still be employed!  Not much else going on, there are some new pics in the 2009 album :)19 October Monday morning coffee break Mmmmmm chocolate raspberry coffee creamer! Makes my coffee like a dessert! I need to go see if the peppermint mocha creamer is out yet. That is the best... to bad it is seasonal! A pretty uneventful week and even lazier weekend. Work was... well it was work lol. I used to be in bed by ten or so, now with this new schedule I can't seem to get my ass in bed before two am. Sigh... I'm getting used to the hours though. I like not waking up to an alarm clock, and feel better that I am getting enough sleep. Strange trade-off. The shift is slower.... waaaaaaaay slower, but that gives me time to amuse myself. I am pretty social so I enjoy getting paid to visit with my friends or cross stitch lol.  Speaking of cross stitching. I have found a new project and am really enjoying stitching again. It is a beautiful celestial piece, stars, sun, moon constelations etc. I can't wait to finish. That is however months and months away! Also I have seen some smaller similar pieces so my mind is thinking decorative. I almost purchased a book that had stocking patterns in it. Too much for right now, but again, a great idea for later. We all need new stockings. Dana got a job... for real this time! She is working at CCI doing phone surveys. Its a good first time phone job, part time, starter skills. They wouldn't hire Mike bc he was too overqualified. Too much expericance... sucky for us, but good for her. Lenee is also working full time and busy little social bee. Poor thing got the flu. She blames me, but she got sick almost a month after taking me to the er so I think those germs came elsewhere. I was never tested to see if it was swine flu or just regular flu, but I cannot remember being so sick and miserable. Uck! Glad its over! Lily will be here this weekend. Yay! I have missed her terribly! We are going to go to the corn maze, and maybe a haunted house. Tis the season lol.  So I got my new phone, and thanks to those of you that responded with an email so I can update my contacts. Its been nice visiting with you again  I absolutely love, love, LOVE my new phone. It is the Rumor2 from Virgin Mobile. Finally I have a keyboard and media player phone. Moving up lol Our kittens are adorable. They have just figured out how to climb into the window sill. Unfortunately at least one of them falls off at least once a day. Pretty funny when it happens. But they are getting bigger and more loving. Lola is smart. Its fun to watch her figure stuff out. When chasing the lazer pointer she no longer will go in the kitchen. She puts on the breaks at the edge of the linolium and watches Gizmo go sliding into the cupboards. Teehee She knows... Well I guess that laundry refuses to fold itself so I should close. Hope its a good week for all!  BTW.... sign the guestbook... please!
13 October Tuesday morning Good morning. I am on cup 3 of the morning pot (Mike drank the rest), the living room is picked up and the dishwasher running... sounds like a coffee break! Fall has hit Spokane hard! Yesterday was bright, but cold and windy. Today looks grey... and windy. Sigh, snow will be here soon. Hopefully it will wait a while. I have plans for the next few weeks lol We didnt make it to "Psycho" this weekend. I was disappointed. Mike fell asleep. Guess we shouldn't have tried for a midnight movie. Does this mean we are getting old? Not me... I was awake lol. Also the Scarywood trip has been canceled, friends cant make it and neither will our car. Oh well, we still plan on taking Lily to the corn maze when she is here for the weekend. I know that there are some local ones, as well as some good haunted houses, but would love some suggestions! As I post a link to this blog on my facebook page I hope to see some ideas! Teehee Tomorrow is payday and I am getting a new phone. I am so excited. I will be keeping the same newest number, but am currently using a dinasour of a phone so an esn swap is due. Virgin mobile now has the Rumor2 so I will finally be moving up to the world of a keyboard phone. With those of you that know how much I love to text, this is a way overdue upgrade. Yay... I can't wait. Shoot, its about that time. I need to start getting ready for work in a few. I am still not used to these hours. I must admit though, its been nice talking with *R again. But I still hate going in at these hours... Toodles 11 October Sunday evening The coffee cup is empty but it sounds like a coffee break moment to me. I know I have been beyond horrible in writing, but I am certainly going to try to be better (again) on here. Now that I am no longer on Myspace, I don't get the weekly quizzes, but maybe randomly I will search for one. As for the daily writings... I don't know if Im that comited yet lol So Mike and I got two new kittens a while back. Lola and Gizmo. They were found in our friends garage. They are adorable and love us bunches. These two are indoor felines only and begining to get a bit spoiled. I should have pictures soon. Work is doing the drastic changes in shifts again. Its the same behavior as last time a project was shutting down. They laid off 25/60 people in one day. Luckily I survived the cut. I am now working swing shift. I haven't worked past 8pm in years! Also on the positive note, I work with good people that make the evenings enjoyable. Teehee I love my friends Mike and I are doing well. Looking forward to the approaching holidays. We both love Halloween and now that I have weekends off, I will have the evening free. So still unknown what we are doing, but could be entertaing, any suggestions??? Next weekend we are going with freinds to Scarywood, its the local amusement park redone for Halloween. It should be a good time for all. For those of you that I have not been in touch with recently via phone... I have a new cell phone number, and in the self destruction (it imploded) of my old phone, I lost all contacts. So please email me your number and I will be in contact 6 October yes its meOk, so I have been getting a few (not so) gentle reminders that I really should begin blogging again. Its been forever... I know.
Again, per my usual defence, things are pretty much the same around here. Work has changed my hours again so I am now working swing. Strange turning my hours around again.
Sigh... Im tired, but I will write more tomorrow. Maybe Ill even look up that old Daily push list :) 27 July Good weekend :)Yesterday we did a road trip to Pullman to see Lily in "Charlottes web". She had 4 different parts and was wonderful. Gary also had a part, he was Homer Zuckerman. In all the years that we have known each other, or were together even, this was only the 2nd play that I have seen him in. Truth be told, definitely not hard to see where Lily got her talent from. Im glad that she has his outlets to nurture it. :)
She will be here later. Yay for the summer visits. Last night she spent it with her Uncle David, but the phone calls lead me to believe that she is ready to be here lol. I wish that I didn't have to work so much while she is here, but I have no other options. Currently I am looking for a second job as well... sigh. Never enough time! But with Mike not working (again) I need to find something!
Big news is Dana. She lied about having a job. Actually she lied about a lot of things but that really isnt a suprise. She got herself kicked out of yet another "friends" house and had no where to go. So my parents took her down and signed her ass up for the army. She is in a hotel tonight and has the physical etc tomorrow. She could be leaving as early as Sep 14. I agree that there are alot of good things that could come from this, but I worry that it is NOT the right choice for her. I am particularly pissed that my parents didn't even consult me in the process. Grrr... those people.... 21 July Its hot out there!ugh! It is 11:15pm, the alarm goes off in 4 hours and it is too hot to sleep. I hate being this uncomfortable! Hot, sticky, sweaty... and not in any of the good ways. Ugh..... 13 July Monday morning coffee break I know that technically it is the afternoon, but Im still in morning mode lol. Been a rough week around here. Last Monday my puppycat didn't come home. Asking around on Wed we found out that he was hit by a car. Im doing better now, but I miss him so much! Ive had quite a few cats, but he was something special. So unique.... I loved that cat!
Dana got a job at Taco Bell. Im glad that she will be working. She needs to get out of the house where she is at and be on her own. In time, I think it will happpen. Yesterday she called and invited me to lunch and coffee. Nice!
Work is still... work.
Ok, so not much going on. Next weekend is Jocelyns birthday party and the weekend after is Lillians play. So there will be tales to be told :) 29 June Survey time!
